Solid Waster Services

Municipality of Anchorage Solid Waste Services

Municipality of Anchorage Solid Waste Services has provided grant funding to support programs that reduce litter and waste and provide enhanced recycling services for residents including Christmas Tree Recycling, Anchorage Regional Landfill Recycling drop-off, Glass recycling, Anchorage Youth Litter Patrol, and public awareness initiatives.

Westrock’s Anchorage Recycling Center

Otherwise known as the Anchorage Recycling Center (also previously Rocktenn), Westrock is the largest full service recycling center in Alaska and provides 24-hour drop bins for a wide variety of recyclables.

Green Star

Green Star is a non-profit organization that recognizes businesses committed to environmental responsibility.

Alaska Center for the Environment

ACE is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Alaska’s natural resources.

Valley Community for Recycling Solutions

VCRS is a non-profit organization leading the way to promote recycling in the Mat-Su Borough.

Fairbanks Rescue Mission Recycling Center

Hours: Open to the public every Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. At this time, the Center accepts newspapers, cardboard and aluminum ONLY.
