From April 1 through April 28, Anchorage Recyclers will be competing in the national City Recycling Challenge sponsored by the US Conference of Mayors, the Municipality of Anchorage Solid Waste Services, Novelis and Keep America Beautiful. It’s easy to join in the competition for Anchorage. Just recycle your cans in your curbside or at any drop off site at the Anchorage Recycling Center, Anchorage Regional Landfill, CARR’s drop-off or school drop sites, Total Reclaim on Industry Way, Hilltop Auto in Eagle River or Schnitzer Steel in Anchorage and your cans will be counted. ALPAR Can-Do Kids at the Anchorage Recycling Center on Dowling will earn an extra 5 cents in April and are entered to win great prizes! Let’s do this, Anchorage!
